ATWOOD —  Emergency first responders are currently working at the scene of an accident on CR 800W, north of US 30 near Atwood.

At approximately 6:25 p.m. Kosciusko County Dispatch received information that a tanker carrying ethanol went off the road and caught on fire.

Atwood Fire Department, Etna Green Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, Bourbon Fire Department, Nappanee Fire Department and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident.

Kosciusko County Emergency Management Agency Director Ed Rock was also on scene. It is unclear if anyone was injured in the accident. Winona Lake Fire Department was contacted at approximately 7:40 p.m. with a request for two sets of scene lights.
