
Barbara Hunt Shumaker, 65, Warsaw, passed away at 8:11 a.m., Oct. 2, 2019, in her home. She was born on Feb. 8, 1954, to Kenneth D. and Mary (Marshall) Hunt in Austria.
She graduated from Peru High School, Peru.
Barbara was united in marriage on Dec. 21, 2018, to Steven W. Shumaker.
She was a member of The American Legion Post 49, VFW Post 1126 and The Moose Lodge 3000 all Women’s Auxiliary in Warsaw.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Steven Shumaker, Warsaw; her children: Rodney Hunt, Warsaw; Nicole Hudson, Columbia City; Howard L. (Terri Lynn) Reed, Jefferson, Ga.; Howard E. Reed, Bangor, Maine; Tiffany Reed, Columbia City; and Leslie (Kendal) Taylor, Lula, Ga.; grandchildren, Drayton Shaw, Benjamin and Thomas Whitehouse, Hunter Taylor, Owen, Zoe and Cassidy Coleman and Sadie Sick. One great grandson. Seven brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4, a funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation a 1 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Pastor Jack Worth will officiate the service. Interment will be in Palestine Cemetery, Palestine.
