William Espich, 80, passed away on Sept. 28, 2019.

He was born in Bremen to Lloyd Sr. and Bernice (Kaylor) Espich. He married Gloria Wooley at the Brethren Church in Plymouth on Sept. 30, 1962. The couple enjoyed a beautiful marriage lasting just shy of 57 years.

He started driving a truck at the age of 18, hauling steel for the automotive industry. He owned Espich Trucking and a few other businesses throughout his life. He loved his time on the open road, often having his faithful canine companion Herschel by his side.

Being aware of his community’s needs, he started a food bank clearing house. Area churches and non for profits were able to use this as a hub to pick up and distribute food. He was a very humble and kind-hearted man. He showed his faith by doing quiet good works.

His children sent Gloria and him to Hawaii for their 25th anniversary, in which they enjoyed so much they quickly purchased a place there. One of his favorite things to do was to take long walks on the beaches of Hawaii with his family.

He was a member of the Countyline Brethren Church in LaPaz, the Plymouth American Legion Post #27, Loyal Order of the Moose #741, and the Veterans of Foreign War #8972, and the Elks #2548.

He is survived by his wife: Gloria, Plymouth; his daughter: Angela (Todd) Zareski, Chenequa, Wisc.; a son: William Espich II, Plymouth; grandchildren: Geoffrey (Haley) Espich, William (Bethany) Espich II, Nathaniel Zakreski, and Rebecca Zakreski; brother and sister-in-laws: Terry (Mary) Wooley and Carolyn Wooley; many nieces and nephews, friends and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Lloyd Sr. and Bernice; and a brother: Lloyd Jr..
