WARSAW — An Illinois woman was injured after her vehicle ran over her leg, Sunday, Sept. 22.

Susan L. Walsh, 73, Tennessee Avenue, Willowbrook, Ill., pulled her vehicle to the side of County Farm Road Sunday morning to take photos of First Christian Church. Walsh, who thought she put her Ford Escape into park, exited the vehicle.

According to the accident report filed with Warsaw Police, Walsh said the vehicle was actually in drive. The vehicle started moving toward her. Walsh’s left leg was run over by the rear tire of her vehicle. The vehicle continued southbound. A witness was able to catch up to and gain control of the car.

The accident happened at about 11:24 a.m.

Walsh suffered minor bleeding around her left knee, lower leg and foot. She was taken to the hospital for further treatment.
