WARSAW — A fundraising auction will be held for Squadron #49, Sons of the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28. It will take place at the American Legion Post #49, 301 N. Buffalo St., Warsaw.

The purpose of the auction is to support the mission of the S.A.L. and Auxiliary, which is primarily serving America’s finest, our service men and women. Serving their families and youth, while teaching the fundamentals of good citizenship with an emphasis on preserving American traditions and values, is a fundamental mission of both organizations.

Items which total over $3,000 will be offered for auction, including gift cards and baskets, home furnishings, clothing, professional services, recreational gift certificates, patriotic and sportsman’s items. All items have been donated by local individuals and businesses to support the cause. Auctioneer John Conley will conduct the auction, with donors recognized during and after the event.

Refreshments will be available during the auction and the general public is encouraged and welcome to attend the event. Donations are still being accepted and may be made by contacting American Legion Post #49 at (574) 267-5549. Come support local veterans, their families and our youth for God and Country.
