At approximately 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, Kosciusko County Dispatch reported a gas leak caused by a vehicle accident at the viaduct between Columbia Street and Winona Avenue.

WARSAW — At approximately 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, Kosciusko County Dispatch reported a gas leak caused by a vehicle accident at the viaduct between Columbia Street and Winona Avenue.

It was reported that one person was injured. Initial reports indicate that approximately 5 gallons of diesel fuel leaked into a nearby wastewater drain. Officials stated they were planning to contact the railroad company and the wastewater treatment facility.

Warsaw Police Department, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory and Lutheran EMS were on scene.
