Catherine Wilma Crooks-Martin, 58, Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019.

She was born Sept. 14, 1960, a daughter of Jane and Jimme T. Crooks. She lived her life to the fullest. She as a lover of animals and attended Concord Career Institute for Vet Tech training in San Bernadino, Calif. She was an incredibly creative woman and an amazing artist. She was a free spirit that loved nothing more than being amongst family and friends when possible.

Surviving are her siblings, Chris and Carl Crooks, Cherri Riecke; daughters, Brooke Negrete of Nevada, and April Riddle of Indiana; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, who were her legacy.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Crooks; and daughter, Leslie Phillips.

Memorial service is 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019, at Midwest Funeral Home & Cremation Society, 4602 Newaygo Road, Fort Wayne, (IN 46808), with visitation two hours prior.
