SYRACUSE – Tryouts are planned for the Wawasee Lady Warrior Select girls basketball teams.

Dates for the tryouts are to be Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Wawasee Middle School as well as Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9-11 a.m. at Milford School.

The Select teams are school-aged teams that are being formed this fall to play in the Club 1 League that takes place on 4-5 Sundays in November and December. These teams practice twice a week starting the week of Oct. 7 and will play two games each Sunday starting Nov. 10.

There is a $70 fee to join Select to cover tournament fees for the season. The team also is asking a $20 fee for jerseys, and those who played Select last season may wear their old top.
