Winona Lake

Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accidents:

3:54 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, South CR 275E, north of Wilcox Road, Warsaw. Driver: Nicholas Sands. Sands said he was run off the road by another vehicle that was driving left of center. To avoid a crash, Sand said he veered to the right and went off the road, into a cornfield. Damage up to $5,000. 

4:58 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, Park Avenue, Winona Lake. Drivers: Jeffrey K. Buriff, 50, Pink Magnolia Drive, Winona Lake; and Joshua E. Schultz, 36, Blue Spruce Road, Warsaw. Schultz’s vehicle rear-ended Buriff’s vehicle. Schultz was issued a citation for driving while suspended. Damage up to $2,500.
