WARSAW — A base coat of asphalt will be applied on East Market Street on Wednesday — weather permitting — and a final coat of pavement could be in place within a few weeks, according to the city.

Crews for Phend & Brown will be finishing up curb and sidewalk work over the next two weeks or so, according to City Plan Director Jeremy Skinner, who updated the redevelopment commission on the work on Monday, Sept. 9.

The final paving and striping will happen after the concrete work is done, he said.

Construction should be completed by the first week of October, Skinner said.

The second phase of work has stretched from South Hickory to South Bronson streets.

Crews have been working into the early evenings and often start work before 7 a.m. InkFreeNews photo by Dan Spalding.
