WARSAW — Warsaw Area Career Center’s Advanced Manufacturing Class is campaigning for an influx of online votes as their timeframe for earning a large grant approaches.

The class is seeking a $25,000 grant and must finish in the top 40 in online voting to receive the funds, said Andrea Miller, manufacturing and engineering teacher. Voting began Aug. 14 and finishes up Friday, Aug. 23.

“We cannot get out of the 50s this week,” Miller said. “We need to be 40 or higher to receive the grant money. Tomorrow (Friday, Aug. 23) is the last day.”

This is a new class at the Warsaw Area Career Center that has been highly successful nationwide and winning this grant would be a huge funding relief during the first few years, according to a news release from State Farm.

The voting is open to anyone 18 years of age or older with a valid email address.  Voting can be done at this link. Each voter can vote up to 10 times per day.
