SYRACUSE — Approximately 105 youth ages 8-13 signed up for Camp Honor Excellence Respect Opportunity hosted by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department. The three day camp, held at the Blue Barn Berry Farm and Event Center, located in Syracuse, features presentations from local EMS, fire departments, SWAT, bomb squad, K9 units and area law enforcement agencies.

Tuesday’s events included K9 demonstrations, EMS, bike safety and squad games. Today’s events include presentations by the Elkhart Bomb Squad, SWAT, vehicle extrication and fire department demonstrations. Thursdays events include a raptor demonstration by the DNR, dive team demonstration and fire arm safety along with camp graduation.
