WARSAW — The Lake City Skiers have been chosen as the host team for the 2019 USA Water Ski Division I National Show Ski Championships.

The top 14 teams — encompassing over 1,500 athletes — in the nation will compete for the national title Aug. 9-11, and cost to attend the event at Hidden Lake in Warsaw is free to the public. The first round will take place Friday, Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will feature individual competitions. The first round of team competition will convene Saturday, Aug. 10, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the team tournament will conclude on Sunday, Aug. 11, with a second round scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cost to park is $5, and both handicap parking and shuttle service from the parking area to the event site is available. Bleacher seating and covered seating is available, or spectators are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs. Concessions and vendors will be on site.
