The Warsaw Police Department is accepting applications for the 2019 Citizen’s Police Academy. The Citizen’s Police Academy meets on Thursdays, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., beginning Sept. 5 through Nov. 7.

Topics of discussion include recruitment, police training, emergency vehicle operations, physical tactics and use of force, central dispatch operations, an introduction to specialty teams, and a tour of the Kosciusko County Jail and courts. The Citizen’s Academy is an opportunity for community members to better understand law enforcement and how police officers work within the community.
