Sandra “Sandy” J. Bucher, 78, Milford, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019, at Goshen Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on April 13, 1941, in Wheatfield, to Eugene and Florence (Robinette) Drudge. On Nov. 3, 1962, She married Wayne Bucher, Jr.; he survives.

She was a 1961 graduate of Pierceton High School. She moved to Milford and was a lifetime area resident working for Chore-Time Brock, retiring after 25 years of employment. She enjoyed bowling with the Sunshiners at Wawasee bowl, watching birds and camping. Her home was always open and everyone was welcome. She cherished her family and loved spending time with them.

Sandy Bucher is survived by her husband of 56 years, Wayne Jr.; one son, Dennis (Jill) Mort of Columbia City; three daughters: Kristy (Steve) Jefferson of Warsaw; Brenda (Rodney) Peterson of Syracuse; and Amy (Todd) Miller of Warsaw. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, Derek, Jenna, Amber, Austin, Aarika, Alisha, Ross, Reed, Andra, and Ryndan; 24 great grandchildren, a sister, Janice (Steve) Rodgers of Warsaw and a brother Don Drudge of Warsaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service celebrating Sandy’s life will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 18, at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Milford. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m., on Wednesday, July 17, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. 

Memorial donations may be directed to the American Lung Association in Indiana.
