Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

7:46 p.m. Sunday, July 14, North CR 575E, north of East CR 100N, Warsaw. Driver: Garrett M. Elder, 20, South CR 600E, Pierceton. Elder was traveling south on North CR 575 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.

6:07 p.m. Sunday, July 14, North SR 15, north of West CR 400N, Warsaw. Driver: Pamela S. Cartwright, 70, West Beachwood Avenue, Warsaw. Cartwright was traveling south on North SR 15 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.

5:29 p.m. Friday, July 12, South SR 13, south of East Old Road 30, Pierceton. Drivers: Todd E. Leamon, 49, Fibia Place 92, Fort Wayne; and Gordon J. Gill, 76, East Boone Street, Frankfort. Leamon was traveling north on North SR 13 when he rear-ended Gill’s vehicle. Leamon sustained injuries to his face and legs, and Gill sustained left arm injuries. A passenger in Gill’s vehicle, Janice E. Gill, 79, Frankfort, complained of chest, neck and head pain, and was transported by medics to the hospital. Damage up to $25,000.

9:40 p.m. Friday, July 12, North CR 475E, south of East CR 450N, Warsaw. Driver: Meghan L. Fretz, 20, North Sawgrass Lane, Leesburg. Fretz was traveling north on North CR 475E when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.

11:26 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, East US 30, west of North CR 450E, Warsaw. Driver: Aaron J. Valentine, 39, East Market Street, Pierceton. Valentine was traveling east on US 30 when his vehicle left the south side of the roadway, striking several trees. Damage up to $10,000.

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

9:52 p.m. Sunday, July 14, SR 15, south of East Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Carter L. Miller, County Road 23, New Paris; and Blair A. Tiffany, 67, Chrysler Avenue, Wabash. Miller was traveling north on SR 15 when he rear-ended Tiffany’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500. 

8:25 p.m. Sunday, July 14, North CR 100E, south of East CR 300N, Warsaw. Drivers: Zulema D. Flores, 44, North Perry Drive, Milford; and Jennifer P. Cartwright, 45, P.O. Box 57, Leesburg. Flores stopped her vehicle at an intersection and began to cross North CR 100E when Cartwright’s vehicle collided with hers. Cartwright complained of chest, wrist and shoulder pain, but refused EMS at the scene. Damage up to $10,000.

4:45 p.m. Sunday, July 14, South County Farm Road, near West CR 200S, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael A. Thurston, 50, South CR 25W, Warsaw; and Ricky D. Daniels, 59, North Old Road 15 216, Warsaw. Thurston was traveling north on County Farm Road when he struck Daniels’ vehicle. Daniels was operating a moped at the time of the crash. Daniels sustained multiple lacerations to his body and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for medical attention. Damage up to $5,000.                                                                                                     

2:34 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2501 Walton Blvd., Warsaw. Drivers: Michelle S. Harman, 58, West CR 1000S, Silver Lake; and Maria L. Giron, 49, North SR 15, Leesburg. Harman was backing her vehicle from a parking space at Walmart when she backed her vehicle into the right-side front door of Giron’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.

10:09 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2211 E. Center St., Warsaw. Driver: Michael P. Gormaly, 56, East Clark Street, Warsaw. Gormaly was traveling south through the Owens parking lot when he struck a cement post. Damage up to $5,000.

7:15 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 945 N. Parker St., Warsaw. Drivers: Charles R. Fawley, 81, North Brookfield Circle E., Warsaw; and Juan J. Montoya Avila, 43, North CR 375E, Warsaw. Fawley was backing out of a parking spot when he struck Montoya Avila’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

11:23 a.m. Saturday, July 13, Lake City Highway, near East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Paul D. Rieke, 26, South Zimmer Road, Warsaw; and Lonny D. Irvine, 70, South CR 325E, Warsaw. Rieke was traveling west on Lake City Highway when he rear-ended Irvine’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

6:50 p.m. Friday, July 12, East Winona Avenue, near South Bronson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Danielle L. Sleeper, 27, Donald Street, Auburn; and Jenny A. Stofer, 36, West CR 300S, Warsaw. Sleeper was traveling north on South Bronson Street when she entered the intersection during a red light, causing Stofer’s vehicle to strike hers. Sleeper complained of chest and groin pain. A passenger in Sleeper’s vehicle, Katelyn L. Konkle, 26, Warsaw, complained of shoulder pain. Four other passengers in Sleeper’s vehicle, Dasiey Konkle, 3, Warsaw; Kealey Konkle, 7, Warsaw; Dorothy Konkle, 4, Warsaw; and Brittany Adams, 24, Warsaw; complained of chest pain. All occupants of Sleeper’s vehicle were transported by Lutheran EMS to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Damage up to $10,000.                                                                                                                                               

3:18 p.m. Friday, July 12, East US 30, east of Springhill Road, Warsaw. Drivers: David E. Anderson, 46, East Main Street, Warsaw; and Amber M. Barnes, 34, East Park Avenue, Bourbon. Anderson was traveling west on East US 30 when he rear-ended Barnes’ vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

1:58 p.m. Friday, July 12, Pope Street, west of McLellan Street, Warsaw. Driver: James D. Cable, 47, West CR 850S, Bunker Hill. Cable’s vehicle crossed over train tracks in front of a southbound train, causing the train to collide with the vehicle. Cable was arrested for being in possession of a stolen vehicle. All other occupants in the vehicle fled the scene. Damage up to $10,000.

2:30 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 538 Crestlane Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Randy L. Richardson, 12, Crestlane Drive, Warsaw. Richardson took his grandmother’s vehicle and backed into a retaining wall located at 538 Crestlane Drive. Damage up to $5,000.
