KOSCIUSKO — A Warsaw man was recently arrested after allegedly punching a woman in the face.

Jordan Charles Roberts, 32, 3699 N. CR 175E, No. 163, Warsaw, is being charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.

On June 23, an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office went to a residence regarding a domestic battery report. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer was met by Roberts, a woman and three children.

According to court documents, county dispatch told the officer that Roberts had a warrant for his arrest. The officer arrested Roberts and took him to the Kosciusko County Jail.

The woman at the scene told the officer she was in a vehicle with Roberts and the three children when she and Roberts got into an argument. During the argument, Roberts threw a bag of food at the woman and punched her in the side of her face. The officer saw a raised bump and bruising on the woman’s face.

Roberts has already been released on his own recognizance and has an initial hearing scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, July 22.
