David Samuel Collins, 48, Leesburg, passed away surrounded by his loving family at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2019.

He was born on Aug. 25, 1969, in Warsaw, to Nancy Joan (Guy) Collins and Samuel Collins. On June 30, 1997, he was married to Jessica Lyn (Patterson) Collins.

He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where he was a 1988 graduate of Warsaw High School. In 1991 he started work at Gulf Stream in Nappanee, until 2010. He started working in production at Da Lite Screen in Warsaw in 2011 until his retirement due to illness. When he wasn’t working or finishing a project he enjoyed fishing and boating. One of his most favorite things to do was just spending time with the apple of his eye, his one and only beloved grandson, Oliver. He loved his family and friends and his family and friends dearly loved David, and he will be missed.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 21 years, Jessica Lyn Collins, Leesburg; son: Marty Collins, Warsaw; daughter: Danielle Mills, Leesburg; and his grandson: Oliver Collins, Leesburg. He also leaves behind his parents: Samuel and Nancy Collins; and his sister Tammy Stapleton, all of Warsaw.

Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.

David’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service that will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Mr. Art Bushen. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Leesburg Cemetery in Leesburg.
