WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop and discovered more than nine grams of methamphetamine.

Stacy Ann Holbrook, 43, 920 Anchorage Road 11, Warsaw, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 5 felony; resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor; and possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor.

On June 6, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department observed a vehicle make an improper turn on US 30 in Warsaw. The officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Holbrook.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, the officer asked Holbrook to exit the vehicle so a K9 unit could conduct an outer air search and Holbrook refused. Holbrook was then arrested for resisting law enforcement.

A K9 unit completed an outer air search of the vehicle and made a positive alert. Upon searching the vehicle, no drugs were located.

While searching Holbrook’s person, the officer found two plastic bags containing marijuana and two bags containing a crystal substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Holbrook also dropped a plastic bag containing methamphetamine at the jail’s X-ray machine. The total amount of methamphetamine found on Holbrook’s person was 9.8 grams.

Holbrook was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on June 6, with a $10,250 surety and cash bond.
