Ansel E. Lahr, 76, North Manchester, passed away at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester on June 5, 2019, at 7:55 a.m. The son of Ervin F. and Ruth J. (Lassiter) Lahr, he was born June 13, 1942, in Huntington County.

He retired from Heckman Bindery at North Manchester after 49 years of service. He attended Bippus School, graduated from Clear Creek High School and was an avid basketball fan. He was a member of North Manchester Missionary Church.

The loving memory of Ansel Lahr will be carried on by his brother: Cleaman F. Lahr of Huntington County; one sister: Iona Keuneke, Saint Marys, Ohio; three nieces, two nephews; and his church family. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Galen L. Lahr who passed away on June 1, 2010.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, June 8, from 1 to 2 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester.. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling at McKee Mortuary. Pastor Ken Sistrunk will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, County Road 300 East & Country Road 1000 North, Servia, Indiana.
