
Jerry Arlo Kreger, 80, Pierceton, passed away at 7:20 p.m., Saturday, May 25, 2019, in Lincolnshire Place, Fort Wayne. He was born on May 12, 1939, in Fort Wayne to Kenneth and Hazel (Peek) Kreger.
He has been a Pierceton resident since 1959. On Oct. 19, 1957, he was united in marriage to Joyce Gross in Pierceton. During his life he worked as a truck driver for South Whitley Trucking and Consolidated Freightways. He was also a bus driver for Whitko Community Schools as well as owner and operator of Kreger Repair Handyman Service. He was a member of the Pierceton Presbyterian Church for 62 years where he was a Deacon and Elder.
Other memberships include; Pierceton Masonic Lodge #377, where he was a Life Member as well as holding the office of Past Master (twice), and Secretary; Ft. Wayne Valley Scottish Rite 33rd degree Master Mason; Mizpah Shrine, Fort Wayne (SAMSAR Member); Kosciusko County Shrine Club, Past President and Mini Bike Club; Eastern Star O.E.S. #88 of Warsaw; Jerry was also a member of the Pierceton Volunteer Fire Department, where he was a 50 year member and once served as Captain.
He is survived by his wife; Joyce Kreger of Pierceton; children; Jerry F. Kreger of Pierceton; Susan (Gregory) Peck of Leo; daughter-in-laws; Cynthia A. Kreger of Pierceton; and Laura Kreger of Cary, N.C.; grandchildren; Chase, Shelby, Marybeth, Kelsey, Holly, Jilliann, and Ryan; five great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son; Rex D. Kreger, one brother; Neil Kreger, and two sisters; Rita Kreger and Sonia Myers.
Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, with a 33 Degree Carnation Service and a Masonic Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m. in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 5, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Chaplain Lewis Collier will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
