Mary Jane Foley
Mary Jane Foley, 96, Rochester, passed away at 4 p.m., Sunday, May 26, 2019, at Solaris Nursing Home, Port Charlotte, Fla.
She was born on Sept. 3, 1922, in Pulaski County, the daughter of Henry A. and Etta J. (Shelhart) DePoy. On Sept. 9, 1942, in Rochester, she married Eugene Foley. He preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 2011.
Mary Jane was co-owner of Foley Jewelers, Rochester, for nearly fifty years. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church where she taught Junior Church for thirty years and served on the Board of Trustees. She enjoyed traveling all fifty states as well as some international travel. She also enjoyed reading.
Surviving are her daughter, Diana J. Welker, Warsaw; two step-grandchildren, David V. (Kari) Welker, Goshen; and Joseph K. (Kelli) Welker, Plymouth; eight step-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, David Welker, sisters, Ethel (DePoy) Gerlock, Ruth (DePoy) DeWitt, nine brothers, John DePoy, Foster DePoy, Burlen DePoy, Ernest DePoy, Donald DePoy, Earl DePoy, Ralph DePoy, and Robert DePoy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church.
