KOSCIUSKO — The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southwestern Kosciusko County until 8:15 p.m. Monday, May 27.

At 7:28 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located near Rochester, moving east at 35 miles per hour.

Locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Beaver Dam Lake, Sevastopol, Beaver Dam, Lake Manitou, Athens, Burket, Disko and Claypool.

Ping-pong ball size hail is expected from this storm. People and animals outdoors may be injured. Expect damage to roofs, siding, windows and vehicles. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from windows.

The Tornado Watch for Kosciusko County remains in effect until 10 p.m.
