Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

10:05 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, North SR 13, south of East CR 150N, Pierceton. Driver: Jennifer Jimenez, 18, Wooster Road, Pierceton. Jimenez’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $2,500.

2:59 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, US 30, west of Arnolt Drive, Pierceton. Driver: Ignacio Olague, 50, Plymouth Circle, Carpentersville, Ill. Olague’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $10,000.

2:53 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, South CR 400E, north of East CR 850S, Sidney. Driver: Timothy Phillips, 57, CR 500W, Warren. Phillips attempted to avoid a deer in the roadway and drove the vehicle off the side of the road, causing the truck and trailer to roll over into a ditch. The vehicle was hauling trash, which spilled into the ditch. Damage occurred to the edge of the roadway, the ditch and a utility pole. Damages up to $50,000.

 

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:

7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 726 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Driver: Terry Templin, 47, CR 425W, Leesburg. While backing out of a parking spot, Templin’s vehicle struck a concrete pole that was holding a stop sign. Damages up to $5,000.

7:09 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 700 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Drivers: April Welch, 58, Boston Street, Syracuse; and Regina Miller, 21, CR 1350N, Milford. Miller told officers that Welch’s vehicle began to back up while in the Dairy Queen drive-thru. Miller did not have enough time to back up and her vehicle was struck by Welch’s vehicle. Damages up to $2,500.

11:49 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, Huntington Street, north of Bowser Road, Syracuse. Drivers: Kelley Shoaf, 44, Crete Drive, Warsaw; and Deanna Church, 62, CR 27, New Paris. Shoaf told officers that she was looking down at a map and when she looked back up she was unable to avoid rear-ending Church’s vehicle. Damages up to $2,500.

 

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:

8:38 a.m. Monday, May 20, Zimmer Road and Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Zachary A. Mulldune, 19, West CR 1000S, Akron; and Julie M. Anderson, 34, South CR 650E, Rochester. Mulldune’s vehicle rear-ended Anderson’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
