SILVER LAKE — A week ago, Metzger Trucking Company lost a beloved employee and friend, Dusty Carty. Carty was survived by a wife and three young children. Metzger Trucking Company’s employees wanted to do something to honor Carty’s life and to help his family.

The company decided to host a charity truck show on June 1, at 208 South Jefferson Street; Silver Lake. The show is from noon until 3 p.m. The public is welcome to attend. There is no cost to attend, but all donations are appreciated.
This truck show will be a fun, laid-back event, just as Carty would have wanted. It is not judged. The plan is to grill out and have a bounce house for children. There will also be a bake sale. If you have a nice truck (no trailers please), feel free to bring it to the truck show. There is no set entry fee. Metzger Trucking Company just asks that you donate whatever you can to help Dusty’s family out.
Please email [email protected] to let Metzger Trucking Company know you plan to attend our event so they can do a rough headcount.
