Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

9:08 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, North SR 13 and East CR 1000N, Syracuse. Drivers: Leslie A. Darr, 60, Syracuse-Webster Road, Syracuse; Melissa L. Longenecker, 51, East Backwater Road, North Webster; Timothy J. Hiatt, 34, Woodies Lane, Bremen. Police said Darr was driving her vehicle eastbound on CR 1000N and was stopped at the intersection with SR 13. She told police she looked but did not see any vehicle on 13 and proceeded into the intersection. Longenecker told police she was driving northbound on SR 13 and when Darr pulled into the intersection she swerved to avoid a collision and slid into the east side of the intersection. At the same time, Darr’s vehicle slid into Hiatt’s vehicle. Damage up to $25,000

7:23 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, North SR 19, north of West CR 250N, Etna Green. Drivers: Chad W. Conley, 33, North Market Street, Winamac; Jenna R. Shriver, 33, South Cherry Street, Akron. Shriver told police that she was driving her vehicle northbound on SR 19 and that Conley was driving southbound and crossed the center line, causing the side mirrors of both vehicle to strike each other. Damage up to $2,500.
