SYRACUSE — After a rainy and chilly week, Mother Nature finally decided it was time for some nice weather, just in time for Touch A Truck, held today, Saturday, May 4, at the Syracuse Community Center.

Long Drive was closed so the large trucks could be on display. Part of the community center parking lot was used for a bike rodeo. The Syracuse-Wawasee Trails Committee and Wawasee Kiwanis handed out approximately 50 bike helmets to area youth who participated in the bike rodeo.

Lippert Components, Goshen; Green Mart, Leesburg; Kruse, Warsaw and Kuert Concrete, Goshen all brought trucks for area children to check out along with the Syracuse street department and fire department. Lake Coffee Co. and Roll-n-Smoke provided snacks for those who got hungry during the event.
