
Gloria J. Chivington, 66, North Webster, passed away at 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at her home. She was born on Aug. 17, 1952, in Fort Wayne, to Charles and Patricia (Otis) Huffman.
She graduated in 1970 from Southside High School in Fort Wayne and on March 25, 1972, in Fort Wayne, she was married to Edward L. “Ed” Chivington, who preceded her on March 27. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Heaters, Inc. in North Webster for several years and was a nurse’s aide at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She grew up in Fort Wayne and lived in Noble County until she moved to North Webster 30+ years ago.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, crafts, ceramics, and was a former bowler.
She is survived by her twin daughters: Stacey (Rich) Vester, Syracuse; Tracey (Steve) Harris, Columbia City; son: Joseph Chivington, Warsaw; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Debbie Luckadoo and Brenda Demit, both of Fort Wayne; three brothers: David (Cindy) Huffman, Fort Wayne; Dennis (Bobbi) Huffman, Fort Wayne; Don (Rhonda) Huffman, Warsaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Craig Chivington, and sister, Pamela Faulkenberg.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Private family services will take place at a later date. Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster, is in charge of arrangements.
