Harriet E. Ladd, 96, Warsaw, passed away at 11:11 a.m., March 5, 2019, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born to William J. and Wava M. (Heckman) Crall on Sept. 3, 1922, in Warsaw.

She was graduate of Warsaw High School and a lifetime area resident. She was united in marriage to John R. Ladd on Jan. 22, 1943, who preceded her March 1, 2006.

Harriet’s memberships include the Warsaw First Brethren Church where she served on the Women’s Missionary Society, Warsaw Chapter #88 of the Order of the Eastern Star as a 50 year member and Past Matron. In addition, she served as Grand Representative, District Deputy and Grand Warden of the Indiana Chapter of the O.E.S. She retired from United Telephone (Sprint) after 31 years of service.

Survivors include a daughter Linda D. Placencio of Silver City, N.M.; a son Larry E. (spouse Mindy) Ladd of Warsaw; grandchildren Jason (spouse Jamie) Ladd and Jennifer (spouse Chad) Dahms both of Warsaw; and great-grandchildren Kaylynn, Zoe, Haylee and Hudson.

She was preceded by a son-in-law Don Placencio, brothers Max and Jerry Crall and a sister-in-law Evelyn (Garber) Crall.

Interment services will be held the Oakwood Cemetery Chapel, Warsaw, at 11 a.m., Monday, March 11, with Chaplain John Schrock officiating.  McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements.
