Madonna J. Clemons Stephens, 78, Claypool, passed at 8:48 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019, at her daughter’s residence.

She was born on March 1, 1940, in Rochester, to Ernest and Deloras (Easterday) Tucker.

She married on July 3, 1958 in Mexico, to Harold Clemons, he preceded her May 9, 1988. She then married on April 20, 1990, in Warsaw, to Thomas C. Stephens, he survives.

She was a homemaker.

She attended Akron High School. She was a member of the Shiloh Chapel. Madonna enjoyed doing crafts and spending as much time as she could with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Stephens, Akron; children: Donna (Richard) Carr, Claypool; Brenda (Danny) Hostetler, Lafayette; Ernest Clemons, Peru; Karla (Guadalupe) Ortega, Akron; Shane (Kristina) Stephens, Paw Paw, Mich.; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents; her first husband and a brother.
A time of visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Monday, March 4, at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
Memorial contributions can be made to Kindred Hospice in memory of Madonna.
