Kosciusko
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
6:53 a.m. Friday, March 1, West CR 600N, west of North CR 200W, Warsaw. Driver: Aaron Rovenstine, 59, CR 100N, Warsaw. Rovenstine’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $5,000.
6:52 a.m. Friday, March 1, North CR 800W, south of West CR 640N, Warsaw. Driver: Kendra Morris, 21, Dee Acres Nappanee. Morris’ told police that a deer entered the roadway and she swerved her vehicle to avoid hitting it. Morris’ vehicle ran off the roadway and became stuck in a field. Damages up to $5,000.
12:53 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, US 30, east of Van Ness Road, Pierceton. Driver: Tori Martin, 22, High Street, Huntington. Martin’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $5,000.
6:58 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, SR 13, south of East CR 800N, North Webster. Driver: Rebecca Enyeart, 53, George Street, North Webster. Enyeart’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $2,500.
5:22 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, SR 15, north of West CR 700S, Claypool. Driver: Jason Hoff, 26, Market Street, Warsaw. Hoff’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $10,000.
8:39 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, West CR 900N, east of North Orn Road, Milford. Driver: Gary Shoppell, 57, Vermont Avenue, White Pigeon, Mich. Shoppell was driving his vehicle eastbound when it “dipped” off the side of the roadway. Shoppell then overcorrected his vehicle, causing it to roll over and come to rest on its side. Shoppell complained of pain to his head and was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. Damages up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:42 a.m. Friday, March 1, Lyon and Detroit streets, Warsaw. Drivers: Carson May, 57, Mallard Road, Mentone; and Arnold Friebe, 76, Deer Trail, Plymouth. May was backing out of a parking lot and struck Friebe’s vehicle. Damages up to $2,500.
