WARSAW — The Child Care & Early Learning Coalition has a new name, LaunchPad.
They have been meeting since Oct. 1, 2018, with the mission of increasing access to quality child care and early learning for children birth to age 5 in Kosciusko County. LaunchPad is currently setting goals that will help working families find child care, as well as employers who need to attract and retain employees.
With a shortage of nearly a 2,000 child care spots in Kosciusko County, the Chamber of Commerce, along with the Kosciusko County Community Foundation and United Way, responded to this need by initiating the coalition. LaunchPad consists of just over 20 local businesses and community leaders.
With the mission of, “Helping children reach their highest potential,” LaunchPad seeks to change the climate of early learning in Kosciusko County by focusing on the most recent brain development for young children and meeting the needs of our youngest citizens.
