The following are upcoming events at the Milford Public Library:
STORY TIME
Join us for Story Time at 10:15 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, or at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 7. We will be learning about winter sports and making a sport-themed craft and eating some yummy edible medals. If you’d like to attend Story Time, sign up at the children’s circulation desk or call 658-4312.
KNITTING CLUB
Join the members of the Knitting Club on every first and third Thursday of each month. Come enjoy Knitting Club from 1:30-3:30 p.m. this Thursday, March 7, to knit or crochet a blanket for the cold weather or complete your existing project. New members always welcome! The members will teach anyone interested how to knit and crochet. No library card or registration needed.
LEGO CREW
Legos are expensive. Save money by enjoying hundreds of Legos at the library from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 9, with the Lego Crew. The Lego Crew meets from 10:30 a.m. to noon the second Saturday of each month (August through April). No library card needed to participate. For more information, call 658-4312.
TEEN BOOK CLUB
Teens in grades 6 through 12 are invited to Teen Book Club at 1 p.m. on March 9, to discuss the book, “Looking for Alaska,” by John Green. Bring a friend and enjoy free snacks. Miles “Pudge” Halter is done with his safe life at home. His whole life has been one big non-event, and his obsession with famous last words has only made him crave “the Great Perhaps” even more. He heads off to Culver Creek Boarding School, and his life becomes the opposite of safe because he meets Alaska Young. She is an event unto herself. She pulls Pudge into her world, launches him into the Great Perhaps and steals his heart. Nothing is the same after that. Come and find out why on March 9 during the discussion.
AUTOMATIC RENEWALS
Now your items will be renewed automatically on their due date. If you’ve given Milford Public Library your current email address, you’ll be notified when your items are renewed successfully. Keep in mind that items will not renew if they are on hold for another patron, or they have already been renewed the maximum number of times.
TAX FORMS AVAILABLE
If you are looking for tax forms, the library has several different forms available in the south entryway. If you are unable to find the tax form you need, ask at the adult circulation desk and they will help you find what you need. They have federal and state forms. This year’s tax filing deadline is April 15.
