BOURBON — The Warsaw FFA Novice and Senior Chapter Meeting Career Department E Teams recently competed at the Section 1 Contest on Monday evening, Feb. 4, at Triton High School, as well as the Indiana FFA State Chapter Meeting Contest Feb. 9, at Lebanon High School.

Both teams celebrated success at the Section 1 competition with the senior team placing second and the novice team placing sixth overall. The novice team is comprised of middle school students who worked hard to overcome many last-minute obstacles before the competition as it was rescheduled three times due to inclement weather.

Due to their success at the Section 1 Contest, the senior team was invited to continue on to the Indiana FFA State Chapter Meeting Contest. The team placed fourth overall during the event. They will now have the chance to be recognized for their accomplishments at the Indiana FFA State Convention at Purdue University in June.

The Warsaw FFA Chapter would like to extend congratulations to both teams on their success at the competitions.

Members of the senior team at the FFA State Chapter Meeting Contest included, from left, Jacob Baker, Anthony Taylor, Hailey Locke, Ayden Ault, Valerie Messmore, Bailey Hanes, Abby Doberstein, Lauryn Rhodes and Reagan Rowland.
