Freshman Van Lue Earns Gold Medal At State Competition

SYRACUSE — Devin Van Lue, a freshman at Wawasee High School, earned a gold rating during the Indiana State School Music Association state vocal solo competition Saturday, Feb. 16, at Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis.

A gold rating is the highest level to be achieved.

Dr. Joyce Dubach played the piano while Kris Stump and Connie Meadows helped coach Van Lue with the vocals.

Van Lue also earned a gold medal during the ISSMA district competition Saturday, Jan. 26, at Fairfield High School.
