Patricia E. ”Norah” Pomroy, 64, Syracuse, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at her home. She was born on May 23, 1954, in San Antonio, Texas to Paul and Martha (Watson) Ellis.

She graduated in 1972 from Bloomington High School in Bloomington, and 1987 from St. Xavier University Nursing School in Chicago. She moved to the Syracuse area six years ago from Highland, and was a registered nurse at Aseracare Hospice in Elkhart for more than five years.

She attended the Vineyard Community Church in Syracuse.

She is survived by three daughters: Dorothy (Dawn) Pomroy, Seattle, Wash.; Katherine (Damon) Pomroy, Asheville, N.C.; Margaret (Adrian) Ballesteros, Chicago, Ill.; six grandchildren; a sister: Martha “Muff” (Mark) Svoboda, Asheville, N.C.; brother: Tom (Lisa) Ellis, Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. No public services will be held. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse is in charge of arrangements.
