FORT WAYNE — Lutheran Hospital has been placed on lockdown, hospital staff have confirmed.

It’s not clear why, though.

Numerous messages to WANE 15 have indicted the lockdown was related to a child abduction at the hospital. That has not been confirmed by Lutheran officials, however.

Dispatchers said they had no calls to the hospital.

Lutheran staff said guests at the hospital were only allowed to enter and exit through security.
