Police Report Finding Drugs On Wanted Claypool Man

SILVER LAKE — When police were called about a suspicious man seen walking on county roads southeast of Silver Lake and near the Kosciusko/Wabash county line, they recognized the man as having active warrants and found illegal drugs on his person while taking him into custody.

Frank Lloyd Seeley, II, 45, 6537 West Grimme Lane, Claypool, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Jan. 18, the Silver Lake Police Department responded to a call of a suspicious person at CR 1300S and CR 100E, near the Wabash County line in southern Kosciusko County. When officers arrived, police reported recognizing Seeley and knew the man had active warrants.

While officers were arresting Seeley on the warrants, police reported finding a plastic straw and two bags containing a powder that field tested positive as methamphetamine. Seeley was arrested on $5,250 surety and cash bond.

Seeley is scheduled to appear in Kosciusko County Circuit Court on Feb. 7 at 8:15 a.m.
