Marilyn Sue Miller, 75, Fort Wayne, formerly of rural Urbana, died at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at Hearth of Sycamore Village, Fort Wayne.

She was born Nov. 5, 1943, in Wabash, to Kenneth Albert and Ruth Marie (Sells) Miller.

She was a 1961 graduate of Manchester High School. She retired from General Telephone/Verizon Phone Company in Fort Wayne after 51 years. She was a member of the Urbana Yoke Parish, the Manchester Order of the Eastern Star Ivy Chapter #69, and the Country Line Dance Club of Fort Wayne. She enjoyed her boxer dogs Wrinkles and Rocky, playing piano and organ, and attending her nieces’ and nephews’ activities.

She is survived by three brothers: Charles (Nancy) Miller, Urbana; Richard (Janice) Miller, North Manchester; and Marvin (Marilynn B.) Miller, Wabash; a sister-in-law: Vita “Vi” Miller, Urbana; nephews and nieces: Jeffrey (Tricia) Miller, North Manchester; Gregory Miller, Alexandria, Va.; Paula (Michael) Appleton and Steven (Roberta) Miller, both of Urbana; Angela (Mike) Brown, Decatur; Jennifer (Shawn) Price, LaFontaine; Tonya (Jonathan) Brunett, Urbana; Tammy (Jeryl) Eberly, South Whitley; Todd (Judy) Miller, Urbana; Jodi (Matthew) Kennedy, North Manchester; Mikel (Bethany) Miller, Corydon; Mark (Angela) Miller, North Manchester; and Matthew (Latisha) Miller, Urbana; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Wilbur D. Miller; and a nephew: Eugene “Gene” Fox.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, 207 W. Main St., North Manchester, with Pastor Larry Wade officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Urbana. Friends may call from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. There will be an Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Preferred memorials are Urbana Yoke Parish Building Fund or the Animal Shelter of Wabash County.
