Sue Catherine Huffman, 75, North Webster, passed away at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at her home. She was born on May 10, 1943, in Indianapolis, to Burl D. and Catherine (Thurston) Silver.

She grew up in North Webster, graduated in 1961 from North Webster High School and attended Goshen College. She was married on July 6, 1963 in North Webster, to Dennis L. Huffman who survives. She was a former co-owner and operator and helped her husband manage the Fisherman Cove Resort in North Webster from 1969 – 1977 and Hobby Hut in North Webster from 1977 – 1982. She formerly worked for Counting House Bank in North Webster for many years, Coastal Federal Savings Bank in Myrtle Beach, SC for 15 years, Main Source Bank in Madison for eight years.

She formerly lived in Pompano Beach, Fla., Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Lamb, along the Ohio River before returning to North Webster in 2014. She formerly attended North Webster United Methodist, Vevay United Methodist Church, and Myrtle Beach United Methodist Church. She enjoyed home décor, crafts, and volunteer work.

She is survived by her husband and a son, Steven (Barbara) Huffman, North Webster.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Memorials services will follow at 1 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home. Private burial will take place in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
