Stanley Craig “Stan” Hutchison, 57, Leesburg, passed away at 2:16 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at Goshen Hospital. He was born on Aug. 31, 1961, in Goshen to Harold H. and Nancy Jean (Roth) Hutchison.

He was a lifetime Elkhart and Kosciusko County area resident and attended Fairfield High School. He was married on April 2, 2002, in Gatlinburg, Tenn., to Kelly J. (Barth) Leer who survives. He was formerly employed at Borkholder Buildings and Supply in Nappanee for 30 years and at a veterinary poultry supply company.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Millersburg and formerly attended the Silver Street Mennonite Church in Goshen. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and family.

He is survived by his wife; a step daughter: Chelsea Leer, Fort Wayne; three step-sons: John Leer, Syracuse; Robert Leer, Milford; and Cody (Tiffany Jeffries) Leer, Syracuse; three step-grandchildren; his parents; three sisters: Debbie S. (Peter) Garber, Syracuse; Cathy J. (Greg) Yoder, New Paris; Lisa A. (Steve) Kammerdiener, Millersburg; eight nieces and nephews; six great nieces and nephews.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10, Owen Family Funeral Home 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Memorial services will follow at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Dwayne Runkle of the Maple Grove Church of the Brethren in New Paris officiating.
