Jane (Glover) McInnis, 66, and beloved wife of The Reverend Joseph E. McInnis, passed away on Dec. 28, 2018, in her Eugene, Ore. home.

She was born on Jan. 28, 1952, in Crawfordsville, to Richard and Evelyn (Pearse) Glover. She spent much of her youth in Warsaw, graduating from Warsaw Community High School in 1970. She earned a Bachelor of Music from Miami University (Ohio) in 1975 and a Master’s in performance and pedagogy from Southern Methodist University (Texas) in 1983.

Music was her great passion and she tried to instill that same passion, love and reverence in all her students. She taught piano and music for more than 46 years to children of all ages and spent time as an adjunct faculty member at Indiana University-Purdue University, Fort Wayne. She was an accomplished pianist and excelled as an accompanist as well as a performer. She was a member of the SAI music fraternity, the Northern Indiana Music Teachers Association and the North Shore (Chicago) Music Teachers Association holding various offices in each.

She had an eye for beauty and was able to find it in everything and everyone she met. She had a green thumb, especially with flowers. Her lovely arrangements brought joy and great beauty to many occasions. She also had a very soft spot in her heart for dogs, both hers and those she met in the neighborhood. She never met a dog she didn’t like.

She was united in marriage to Rev. Joseph E. McInnis on Jan. 31, 1998, in Antioch Lutheran Church, Hoagland. After serving there for ten years, they spent the next ten years serving at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Wilmette, Ill. In 2017 they retired to Eugene, Ore. to spend time with family and their first grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her step-daughter, Katie Rinaldi of Eugene, Ore.; step-son, Joey McInnis of Burbank, Calif.; grandson, Benjamin Rinaldi of Eugene, Ore.; and three cousins: Herb Glover of Orange Park Fla.; Ken Gross of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Jack Glover of Richmond, Va.

Friends may join family for visitation at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw, on Friday, Jan. 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. or 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Jane’s life will be held in Warsaw’s First United Methodist Church on Saturday, Jan. 5, at 11 a.m. with gathering for one-hour prior. Burial will be alongside her parents in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made to donor’s local congregation, humane society or the Kosciusko County Community Foundation- Margaret Ann Voirol Memorial Endowment Fund supporting the Warsaw Community High School choral and music program. Condolences may be left online at www.TitusFuneralHome.com.
