PIERCETON — Shortly after 11 a.m. today, Dec. 26, emergency responders were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident in the westbound lanes of US 30 in front of Maverick Motorcycle, Pierceton. One of the vehicles ended up off the road in a field and the other ended up in the median of US 30.

Pierceton Fire Department, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and Lutheran EMS responded to the scene. Initial reports indicated that two people suffered from injuries. It was unclear how many people were actually transported to the hospital for their injuries.

The westbound lanes of US 30 were restricted to one lane in the area while the accident was cleared.
