Kosciusko
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
5:38 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, East CR 1300N and North CR 175E, Milford. Driver: Kayla L. Garber, 23, Canterbury Lane, Warsaw. Garber told police she was driving her vehicle eastbound on CR 1300N when a deer entered the roadway. She told police she was unable to avoid hitting the deer with her vehicle. Police report Garber hit her head on the inside of the vehicle, but refused transport to the hospital. Damage up to $10,000.
North Webster
Officers from the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
5:18 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, North Main Street, north of East First Street, North Webster. Driver: Kaylin M. Williams, 18, East CR 250N, Pierceton. Williams told police she was driving her vehicle northbound on North Main Street when she looked down and her vehicle left the roadway, striking a utility pole and a sign. Williams complained of nose pain from the air bag deployment, but refused medical treatment. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
2:25 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, West Winona Avenue, north of Logan Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Justin S. Adams, 21, West CR 250S, Warsaw; Kevin D. Messmore, 32, Bass Street, Warsaw. Adams told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on Logan Street and said he thought he had the right of way at the intersection with Winona Avenue. He proceeded into the intersection, where his vehicle collided with the vehicle driven by Messmore. Adams left the scene, but Messmore caught up with him in Atwood. Adams was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident and driving while never licensed. Damage up to $2,500.
Winona Lake
Officers from the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accidents:
9:34 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, East Center Street and Cleveland Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Kirstin T. Davis, 22, 6th Street, Winona Lake; Carole Brandenburg, 76, Whitetail Run, Warsaw. Police reported that Davis was driving her vehicle eastbound on Center Street in the intersection with Cleveland Street when the collision with Brandenburg’s vehicle occurred. Davis was cited for driving with a learner’s permit and not having a valid licensed driver in the vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
7:43 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, Ferguson Road, Warsaw. Driver: Andrea J. Regan, 31, South Paxton Drive, Warsaw. Regan told police she was driving her vehicle northbound on Ferguson Road when a deer entered the roadway. She told police she was unable to avoid hitting the deer with her vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
