FORT WAYNE — It’s been ten days since a Fort Wayne family heard from theirmissing loved one. Wednesday, they searched the banks of the St. Joseph and St. Mary’s Rivers as they feared the worse.
Kevin Nguyen, age 25, went missing in the early hours of December 8th. His family said he was kicked out of the Brass Rail on Broadway after an altercation and that’s the last they’ve seen or heard from him. The family says management at the bar told them Nguyen had entered the bar four times that night.
Nguyen’s uncle Richard Yankey wants Fort Wayne police to intensify the search.
“I feel there’s been foul play,” he said. “I feel that this should be a murder investigation. I mean now. I want the prosecutor’s office now to pursue this. They just need to look at other evidence.”
He plans to search day and night until Nguyen is found.
“I can’t eat. I can’t sleep. It’s family,” he said. “They’re missing. It’s hurtful. You’re worried. We know some things that went on since the night he left the Brass Rail and we can’t find him and i’m looking vigorously with the rest of my family.”
The Arby’s on Jefferson Blvd. gave them a video. It shows Kevin walking by the side of the building alone around 1:40 in the morning. The Brass Rail has given their surveillance video to police.
Fort Wayne Police Department Sgt. Jim Seay said anyone with information about Kevin’s whereabouts is asked to call 427-1222.
A public search has been organized for him at 2 p.m. Sunday, starting at Lakeside park. Anyone with information on Kevin’s whereabouts is asked to call police.
