AKRON —  Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation has announced that a possible scam has been reported in the Akron area.

“Akron Elementary School would like to let the community be informed they do not currently have a fundraiser going door to door and to please be aware of possible scams,” said Lori Tilden-Geiger, Tippecanoe Valley’s director of public relations and grant writing.

Tilden-Geiger said the school corporation is trying to get the word out to avoid citizens from being scammed during the holidays.
