AKRON — Tippecanoe Valley’s wrestling team down Three Rivers Conference foe Southwood 54-24 Tuesday.

The Vikings benefitted from five forfeits and earned five pinfalls on the way to the win. Haley Hoover pinned her opponent in 3:24 at 106 pounds, Branson McBrier needed just 36 seconds to get a pinfall at 132, Jon Humes pinned his opponent in 1:44 at 152 pounds, Brandon Hammer recorded a 41-second pinfall at 170, and Tyler Nine finished his opponent in 1:10 at 195 pounds.

Valley is back in action at the LaVille Invitational Saturday morning.
