NEW PARIS — A house fire at 71737 SR 15, between US 6 and CR 50, north of Milford, has shut down traffic in that area.

New Paris Fire Department was called at approximately 12:20 p.m. today, to a fire at that residence, tanker and/or manpower assistance was requested from Milford, Benton, Foraker and Elkhart township.

No one was reportedly in the home at the time of the fire. The home is listed as being owned by John and Sharon Wood.

The fire was brought under control at 1:28 p.m.
