ATWOOD — Fire departments responded to a semi on fire in the westbound lanes of US 30, near CR 350W, Atwood, around 4:15 p.m. today, Dec. 5.

Atwood Fire Department was first called to the scene and a tanker assist was requested from Warsaw-Wayne Fire Department. Indiana State Police Officers were also on scene to help with traffic control.

The fire was listed as under control at 4:30 p.m.

Westbound lanes of US 30 were closed to traffic while the fire was extinguished and the area cleaned up.
