WARSAW — The following programs are scheduled for December at the Warsaw Community Public Library.

Submissions will be accepted between Dec. 1-15 for the 11th Annual Photography Contest. Chess Club meets 10 a.m. to noon every Saturday and Cookbook Club will host a cookie exchange at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec 3.

Author Mark Howe will host a book signing for his story in “Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Wonders of Christmas” on Monday, Dec 3, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Other events include:

  • Registration for Indiana Career Connect Resume with WorkOne — Tuesday, Dec 4, at 9:30 a.m.
  • Join Tina Ray and learn how to paint stencil designs on wood — Tuesday, Dec 4, at 5:30 p.m.
  • Drop in Zone, featuring video games and virtual reality — Wednesday, Dec 5. Teens in grades 6-12 play 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and adults, ages 18 years and older play 5:45 to 7:45 p.m.
  • Kathy Balke from IAHE will host a home schooling workshop on Thursday, Dec 6, at 10 a.m.
  • Friends of the Library mini book sale from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday Dec 8.
  • Santa visits the Library Saturday Dec 8, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Writers Club meets at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Dec 10.
  • Make ornaments —  Tuesday, Dec 11, at 5 p.m.
  • Computer Clinic meets 10 to 11:30 a.m. — Wednesday, Dec. 12, and 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26.
  • Pokémon Club meets at 4 p.m. — Wednesday, Dec 12.
  • Robert A. Hudson will host a book signing for two of his latest releases — Wednesday, Dec 12, from 6 to 7:45 p.m.
  • The Lake City Piecemakers quilt club meets at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Dec 14.
  • Bingo at the Library for all ages — Friday, Dec 14 from 2 to 3 p.m.
  • Board Game Club meets 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Saturday, Dec 15.
  • Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to play Minecraft at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec 17.
  • Paint “Winter Glow” with artist Carl Mosher — Monday, Dec 17, at 5:30 p.m. $20 due at registration.
  • Conquering age barriers with WorkOne — Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 9:30 a.m.
  • Yarn Club at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec 18. Learn to knit/crochet and share patterns/advice.
  • Microsoft Excel Basics with WorkOne — Friday, Dec 21, at 10:30 a.m.
  • The library will feature a popular family movie — Thursday, Dec 27 at 10 a.m.
